The play cast earned, analyzed, practiced, and portrayed their parts. Five members of the Studio Radio Class broadf cast the news of Ogden High in their weekly ra- dio program, Tiger Flashesf' Simi Speech students were shown the fundaf mentals of expression as they learned to control and express their emotions and use them as a technique for holding an audience. Their copy of Roberfs Rules of Order was well-worn by the end of the year because the classes organized and conducted themselves according to parlia- mentary procedure. In the school play, Death Takes A Holiday, the cast used its dramatic ability to hold the audience in suspense. The debate class studied and un- raveled a phase of the Foreign Aid problem.

Introduction and preparation for the business world was the goal of the Commercial Arts Department. Classes in shorthand, typing, bookkeeping, retailing, and business practice, trained the students to become confident, educated individuals ready to assist skillfully their community and business world. Because of the demand for qualified help in a commercial field, this training enabled them to look forward to a reasonably secure future.
