Ogden High School's every acrion is followed wifh keen in+eres+ by rhe members of fhe board. Few sfudenfs realize in+o wha? capable hands 'lhe 'techni- cal school problems are placed. For years +he board has served quiefly and efficieni- ly. To Presidenf Riley and ofher members of +he board, we give our sincere +hanks for 'rheir aid and considerafion. fiffeen sixloen Clflfgaf Gul ZJVECLT cgcfioof Nexl' year we shall have a new Ogden High School. Yer l am wondering if we shall ever have a finer group of young men and young women +han we have had +his year. True, we are going io have a new building, bul' unless ils foundalion of concrele suggesls lhai' Tru+h is 'lhe only foundafion on which you can build an enduring life, +he new sfrucfure will noi' mean much fo you. However, if i+s super-s+ruc+ure of briclr and girders of s+eel leaches you +ha+ Characler, and Characfer alone, will hold your life +oge+her and enable you fo siand four-square +o all 'lhe winds l'ha+ blow , lhen lhis new building will noi have been erecied in vain. This new Ogden High School we are erecfing will be wor+h while if i+s in+erior, be,au+iful and immacula+e as i+ will be, persuades you +o keep free from all s+ain fhe 'whi+e walled corridors of your own hearf. l lrusl' fha? +his new and symmefrical building revealing 'lhe clear purpose of lhose who conceived and builf i+, reminds you 'lhaf a noble purpose, nobly execufed, will malxe your life bolh beaufiful and useful. If I could ulfer buf one message as you en+er +he new edifice nexl Sepiember, if would be fhisz Excep+ the Lord of Tru+h and Be.au'I'y, and Righfeousness build fha house, 'lhey labor in vain 'lhaf build if. W. Karl Hoplrins U65 .lizif qgfawz The class of I937 will be remembered for having been fhe lasi' class fo gr.adua+e from lhe old building, iusf as +he class of +he lfhenl new building. How lime flies and how if dissipafes our noiionsl ln l9I0 fhe build- ing is newg if will serve Ogden many, many years. ln I937 if is old, aniiquafed, oufgrown, for many years pasf, inadequai'e. In l9l0 The new building w.as noi' quife complefeg an assembly hall and a gymnasium will be buili' la+er, iusf as soon as 'funds are available. The funds never became available and +he building was nev- er comple+ed. Despile fhis, fhe high school has carried on and has given ins+ruc+ion and fraining fo approximafely 25,000 sfudenis, during fhese 27 infervening years. The acfual number of graduafes during ihis period is 6,377. The building during all 'these years changed buf lif- lle, buf who can fafhom fhe changes ihai' have falcen place in 'lhe lives of +he boys and girls who have +rod fhe halls ,and saf in fhe class rooms? A migh+y work has been accomplished here, and 'lhe memory of happy days spenf in dear old Ogden High is +he mos+ valued and cherished possession of fhousands who are now scaHer- ed fhroughouf 'lhe world. Which class will have fhe happiesl memories, ihe class of '37, rhe lasi of fhe old order, or fhe class of '38, fhe firsf of fhe new order? My guess is +ha+ if will be +he class of '37. A. M.
