The excitement started with a big parade that afternoon. All the clubs and classes spon- sored floats, competing against one another for prizes. At the close of the parade, McDonald Carey was presented with a ne:-ktie and a caricature ot' himself, drawn by Oelwein's Jim Nelson. Then, during the halt' ot' an exciting game, the Queen, Monica Nordman, and her ceurt, Diane Hollingsworth, Judy Warren, Barbara Luther, and Phyllis Johnson were hon- ortd. At tlre Stardust clanre following the game, the Grand 1 lVIart-li was led by the Queenk attendants, nominees and their escorts. So ended a pertkict day and Oelwein Highs 1951 Homu-oining , 1: wsgty.
