Fresh - Soph Basketball Squad ROW ONE: Jule Liebe, Jim Lilly, Enoch Fratzke, Glenn B01-land, Allan Baker, Ken Sahs, Wayne Venter: ROW TWO: Glenn McBride, Duane Loban, Roger Smith, Sam Aiello, Leo Campbell, Robert Richards, Jack Traeger, John Chan- ner, Bob Schrack: ROW THREE: Coach Chuck Joss, Jim Wheeler, Aaron Damon, Bob Flower, John Napoli, Gordon Sanford, John Monahan, Phil Kalm, Larry Green, Ronald Jarchow. Review of Season Finishing the season with an overall record of fourteen victories and five defeats, the freshman-sophomore basketball team had one of the best records in recent years. Coached by Chuck Joss, the traveling squad consisted entirely of soph- mores. The first team, during the first half of the season, included Enoch Fratzke, Allan Baker, Leo Campbell, Jim Lilly, Ken Sahs, Glenn Borland, with John Channer and Jack Trager as top substitutes. Loss of personnel due to one cause or another, resulted in a poorer showing toward the end of the season. The sophs won ten of their first eleven games, losing only to East Waterloo. They lost four of their last eight games. The squad showed its possibility to work into a high-scoring organization. The chances are good that the Husky varsity, during the next two years, will be a top-rate ball club. 28 Season's Record Opponents Franklin Nashua New Hampton Independence Charles City Osage Cedar Falls East Waterloo Waverly Decorah Cresco Cedar Falls Charles City New Hampton Waverly Osage Decorah Independence Cresco Oelwein 28 56 50 30 58 51 47 32 56 42 51 39 44 37 3 1 26 45 47 52
