GIRLS LEAGUE The first great event of the Girls Club year was held on Oct. TO which was the crowning of Queen Marilu as our Football Queen. Marilu was attended by tour prin- cesses one from each class. They were as follows: Freshman Marciel Fink, Sophomore, Delores Freuh, Junior, Betty Lou Winter and Senior Vera Lenhart. Before the crowing a short speech was given by our Girls Club president, Vera Lenhart, and Miss Henderson. The princesses were dressed ,in dark skirts and pink sweaters. Queen Marilu was dressed in a dark skirt with a blue sweater. The girls were seated on the back of a pickup truck driven by Lois Ott. In the evening a dance was given in the girl's honor, and each was presented with o corsage, The dance was well attended and everyone had a good time. r' .- A E.. xg K HDI, x . . LETTER O CLUB The Letter O Club started the year with IO boys. During the second semester we had initiation and increased our enrollment to 21 boys. The Lettermen sponsored o football banquet and had coach Phil Sorboe of W.S.C. as guest speaker. The Letter O Club undertook the iob of keeping discipline in the school during the year, and student conduct has greatly improved. The boys are raising money to buy a dryer for the school and plan on furnishing complete laundry service for all athletics next year. Letter O Club officers are: President, Al Fink, Vice President, Art Thaut, Secretary, Walt Deife, Treasurer, Donald Weishaor, Advisor, Mr. Stannard, Representative, Vern Jantz. Second Semester officers are: President, Alvin Fink, Vice President, Walter Deifey Secretary, Virgil Zicha, Treasurer, Donald Weishaar, Advisor, Mr. Stannard, Repre- sentative, Vern Jantz.
