DISCUSSION OF BOYS' GAMES October 17th our neighbors from Oak Grove pald us a vlslt The Oak Grove boys were very classy and the game ended 37 to 12 m favor of Odessa On December 4th we loaded ourselves ln cars and journeyed to Oak Glove to play a return game We played on an out door court while the thermometer reglstered about 10 degrees below freezing The score was 17 to 19 ln favor of Oak Grove A thlrd December 19th our German frxends from Concordla came to O H S to try thelr luck It was a hard fought battle whnch by chance ended 22 to 23 ln favor of the Germans December 31st just after Chrlstmas when all were feelmg good we took a trxp to the cxty of Corder and beat thelr team 54 to 26 The score would have been greater but they used gasolme lamps and our forwards had to use searchllghts to find the goals January 8 1915 we traveled to the great metropohs Concordxa The game was played ln the lumber yard The dlmenslons of the court were about 90 feet by 16 feet The only way we could get a goal was to throw the ball to Mr Crews our fleetfooted center and let hum carry xt to the other end of th court As the court was 90 feet long he made some good dashes The score was 50 to 11 ln favor of Concordla After the game we went to get some eats whlch were very plentlful They served gasolxne sand wxches a very dellclous morsel Ralph Ferguson one of our for wards got drunk on proxy Ca cross between soda pop and waterl and had to be assxsted back to the hotel January 30th the Oak Grove bunch agaln vxslted us Oak Grove was entirely too slow and we defeated them 56 to 17 Thus was the last game of the season . . . .
