W9 ,whglwlg-V I A Lai JUNIOR BOARD deputy Lynda Donham-'escorts' out- law Gem Meacham to iail for breaking the permit law. SHOWING OFF her farmer's attire, .Ioy White amazes her fellow westerner. Cowboys Stage Two Dag Invasion Ti., 'b.w'- A' QQ'- ::.- 3'1 COWBOY-TEACHER Roger Corzine appears to be roughing it through the day. HAND-CUFFED to the pole which served as the iail, fugitives of iunior board law seem to be discussing an escape. 26 Quite a contrast came to O.H.S. in January. Remembering the days when men were cowboys and authority meant sheriffs, Odessa High was invaded by just that during Western Week. The halls were filled with Junior Board deputies who would iust as soon chain fugitives without a permit to the post as look at them. Perilous as it was the cowpokes survived and even attended a dance in the girls' gymna- sium early Friday morning. A sophomore, Steve NIcCleery, beat out two upperclassmen, Tommy Parker and Steve Hays, in the capacity of sheriff this year. The traditional movie High Noon was shown in the auditorium during study halls. The money made by the Junior Board from the proceeds went toward paying for the Junior-Senior Prom.
