At this time we were living four miles south and a half east of Odessa. At the age of five, I entered the first grade at Cottonwood school, District Three, in Phelps County. I spent seven years there, andl enrolled in the Odessa school where I am finishing my high school education. Among my school activities, sports have always Swim, been my highlight. R. V. C. Tournament and beat Pleasanton the f1rst mght and also lost to Amherst 1n a very exc1t1ng game ln an over t1me. The score was 39 38. We also lost to Eddyv1lle. In the D1str1ct Tournament, wh 1ch was held 1n Sumner, on February ZZ, we were defeated by Farnam, The startxng f1ve were Jack Grlss, Lyle Swartwood, Kenneth Marlatt, Charles Gale, and Albert Crowell.
