women promote spirit The 1969-1970 cheer- ing squad for Odessa College consisted of Karla Wadsworth, Pat Sanders, Ruth Fisher and Kathy Jackson. These women were chosen from a field of fifteen in a Stuco-sponsored elec- tion. The cheerleaders sup- ported the Odessa College athletic teams in town, at Lubbock, Big Springs and Abilene. The cheering voices of the women helped lead the gymnastics and basketball teams to victory. Karla Wadswortli, sophomore, was elected by the group as head cheerleader. She came to O.C. from Big Springs. The three other cheerleaders were from Odessa. Ruth Fisher, sophomore, attended Odessa High.
