Dorms Give Students Home Away From Home gn 1. ., . -' lm, uv tif J im Johnston, Earle Price and Johnny Womack relax with an evening of hearts. Living away from home in a college dorm is one aspect of college life that must be experienced to he fully appreciated. Students living in college dorms en- joy experiences that cannot he realized by students com- muting to and from school. There is the experience of living, perhaps for the lirst time, with a group of complete strangers. There is the challenge of making new friendships, many of which will last for years to come. And finally there is the reali- zation of an exchange of ideas and philosophies. Odessa College is served by several dorms. There is Downs Hall for men living on campus and Parker for women. Wrangler Hall houses many of the college's athletes. With the opening of the spring semester, OC added another dorm to its list. The Gulf Guest House located on Second Street was donated to the College by the Gulf Oil Corporation for use as an athletic dorm for men. The two-story structure will help to house many future Wrangler athletes. 30 Watcliing TV in the lobby of Downs Hall is Rick Watters. -x 7 lv.
