OC Students agerlg Await Christmas Holidags The Christmas season always finds students eagerly awaiting the arrival of the holidays, and December l967 was no exception. Odessa was bedecked with Christmas decorations soon after Thanksgiving. Odessa College added its own festive touch later during the weeks immediately preceding Christ- mas. Spirits ran high as the holidays approached. An ice storm, which covered the ground with a hlanket of white, added to the overall good feeling by making it an 'galmost white Christmas. The weather again played an unusual trick on West Texans when it deposited about two inches of snow on the ground early in January. Coming at the end of finals week the rollicks in the snow were a welcome relief from the strenuous concentration of studying for mid- term exams. Christmas concerts by the band and choir were can- celled on campus because of the had weather, but these or- ganizations represented the college and contributed to holi- day programs throughout the city. Several clubs on campus treated themselves with Christmas parties in celebration of the two-week break in classes. The annual faculty banquet feated OC teachers with a Christmas dinner also. o During the holidays a co-ed representative from OC attends the Sun Bowl festivi ties held in lil Paso.
