26 Man for All Seasons Portrags Intense Drama The first two weekends in December, the Odessa College drama department presented it's second production. HA lVlan For All Seasons? Directed by Durward Jacobs, the cast consisted of James Bu- chanan as Sir Thomas Moreg the common man, Johnny Walkerg King Henry, Harrell Floyd, Thomas Cromwell, Vic Kinnyg More's daughter, and wife Elizabeth Whitenton and Sandra Cunningham. Others were portrayed by Sid Williams who became lVIore's son- in-lawg Charles Stallcup as Richard Richg Jerry Grant, the Duke of Norfolkg Carlton Sanderson as Signor Chapuys and Al Timins- kas as Chapufs attendent. HA Man For All Seasonsw was the widely acclaimed stage play of the story of Sir Thomas More, a sixteenth century ideal- ist. He was Chancellor of England under King Henry VIII but eventually lost his life, when he refused to compromise his re- ligious belief to suit the lVIonarch's political position. More at- tempts to remain faithful and devoted to the laws of the church and at the same time stay loyal to his king and country. He is trapped by his steadfastness and submits to death rather than relinquish his principles. The production staff consisted of Cynthia Reed, Bob Tilly, and Doug Elliott on make-upg Rene Monette, Cynthia Reed, Al Vic Kinny and Chuck Stallcup set the atmosphere for a showdown between Tjminsky and Rhonda Vlfhitpfield as stage Crew and properiigg, King Henry VIII and Thomas More. Charles Stallcup manned the lights and Rusty Knight sound ef- fects. Joe Aldridge acted as supervisor as he was stage manager. Backstage preparations begin long before the curtain rises. Preparing their make-up for the com- ing productions are Vic Kinny, assisted by Doug Elliott, James Buchanan, and Carlton Sanderson.
