S4 Nursing Students Gain Professional Medical Skill The OC nursing program includes hroad educational background in addition to nursing courses. The nursing student develops as an individual, as a citizen, and as a competent practitioner in the field of nursing. Each student, upon the completion of required courses, at the end of two years is granted an associate degree. Graduates, upon completion of an examination adminis- tered hy the State Board of Nursing, receive licenses to practice as Registered Nurses. Hospital practice is obtained at Odessa Medical Cen- ter Hospital, experience in psychiatric nursing at the Big Spring State Mental Hospital.
