Most important to aspiring educators are the Child Psychology and Educational Psychology courses. OC provides both as part of a complete two-year education course. Anyone planning a career in elementary or secondary educa- tion must complete a number of education courses before receiving his teacher's certificate. The psychology curriculum includes courses in Personal Ap- plications of Psychology and Child Psychology, and also an Intro- duction to Psychology course. The role of the psychologist in modern society is ever-increas- ing. Many careers are open in this field, from clinical to industrial psychology.
