Alpha Nu Chi Encourages Professional Attitude Alpha Nu Chi is the local organization of the Texas Nursing Students Association which is a constituent of the National Nursing Students As- sociation. It is designed to prepare students for a career in nursing, to acquire skills and to develop leadership qualities and abilities in working in a professional organization. Qualification for mem- bership in the Alpha Nu Chi is simply enrollment in the Associate Degree in Nursing Program. Jean Porterhelcl is the sponsor of the club with Ann Winn, Dana Overman, and Yvonne Vernon as her co-sponsors. Assisting President Jill Pruitt is Vice President Sherry Frankfather, Secretary Verna Turner, and Treasurer Mary Rutledge. The l.C.C. Representative for Alpha Nu Chi is Jo Carol Brown. For a cluh money-raising project, the girls washed cars. President Jill Pruitt fills a hypodermic as part of her nursing training.
