The sole purpose of the elub was to project to the student a professional outlook on the education field. In appreciation of tear-hers the club held several faculty teas serving refreshments to the college instructors and admin- istrators. Conventions furthered the ambitions of TSEA as did informative films and speakers. Ollicers for the l967-68 school year were Pete Stewart. presidentg Jerry Chambers, first vieepresidentg Gilbert Vasquez, second vice presidentg Liz Ceesli-n, secretaryg and Pam Langridge, treasurer. Home Ee Club Gives Valuable Experiences Conventions, informal parties and regular meetings set the pace for the campus Home Economics Club. The primary objective of the club was to aid each mem- ber in learning to meet family needs and to give a better inerpretation of home economics to the individual. Harriette lVIcClend0n. home economics instructor. spon- sored the group. Gloria Franco served as president aided by Jeanne Tors rence and Shea Lynn Shaw, vice presidents. Sheryl Raglen kept financial records while Linda Hines handled secretarial responsibilities. Verene Ballard as parliamentarian, maintained order during the meetings. Karen Ingram represented the Home Economics Club at ICC and Margaret ,lover reported news to the campus communications media.
