Students attended classes in garh that would pass on a Hollywood hack lot. Western costumes were required ol' all students and those who failed to comply with tht- laws were arrested and hrought lic-fort' a Circle-K judge. The lawhrvakers had a choice of paying a fine or spend- ing some time in tht- pokey. 1-spt-cially c'onstructt'd for tht' occasion. Festivities ol tht- annual week-long 1-vvnt culminated with tht- traditional dance in the Student Union Building. At thc' dance tht- cluh sweetheart was announced. The winner was Pam Harhison. Other Candidates included Mary Harden, iVlary Alice Turner. Alexia l,inm-volcl and Susan Morris. Winner of the hog-calling contest was Danny Anders. Other vontest winners in the fields of host-dressed boy and girl, and hoard-growing were also announced. Mickey Wilsonf president, presents Pam Harlmison with a dozen red roses at the Western Week dance.
