RIGHT: Liz Fowler was right, when saying This is what cheerleading is all about. The 1984-1985 Varsity Cheerleaders did a fantastic job cheering on our sports teams. The enthusiasm never stopped even though the football games were played on cold nights or the basketball games were humid, as usual. The girls worked super hard for the I AC Championships. Cheerleading is a sport now and our girls have to work as hard as any other athlete, boy or girl!!! 26 CHEERLEADING

'The Line, Asel Graves, Tim Benjamin, Walter Croft, Scott Gauvin, Glen Blieler, Mr. Pulos, Terry Eccleston, Frank Carey, and Keith Stermer. Football The O.M. football team finished the 84 season with a 7-2 record. Although every game is a big game, some standout through the season. One such game is the annual Bucket game against rival, Watkins Glen. Watkins came into the O.M. game with a crippling O.M. defense and a ball control offense. The came away with a 13-7 victory. The very next game the Indians won a hard fought game against T-burg 7-6. After losing to O.M., T-burg goes on to win the large school division. It was a fine year for the Odessa gridders leaving 13 seniors with great memories and marks all over the record books. Including: Coach Myers 40th win, a record 4 shutouts, Brad Clark's 1,319 rushing yards, winning the bucket two consecutive years and beating Watkins 3 consecutive times, and finishing 7th in the S-G Twin Teirs poll.
