Downhill Thrills As soon as school opens, the skiers begin looking forward to a huge snowfall to start their season. The excitement of a blizzard brings tears of joy to their eyes. The cold nights, endless chairlift lines, and ACHING muscles are all forgotten. The thrill and excitement of skiing down a mountain is more than words can say. The skiiers usually top off the night by gathering around a warm fire and chatting about their adventures that night. The next mountain the skiiers attempted to master was Whiteface. This was the same mountain that the 1980 Winter Olympics were held on. They worked hard selling T-shirts and Christmas ornaments to raise money for their trip to Lake Placid.
