Junior- Senior Prom Keep on Loving You This year's prom was a time for change. When the plans were being formulated, the question of a combined Junior-Senior Prom arose. After many meetings between the Junior and Senior committees, agreements were finally reached. It was decided that in order to make everyone happy, there would be a Junior King. Queen and court and a Senior King. Queen and court. The Junior King and Queen. Brian Bleiler and Dena Biddle, and the court. Tammy Chapman, Kathy Riley. Glenda Stermer, and Marcy Thurman, were crowned by the previous year's King and Queen, Annette Notar and B.J. Baker. Later in the same evening the Senior Queen. King and court were crowned by Dena Biddle and Brian Bleiler. The band. Variations, which had been chosen, canceled two days before the Prom. A new band. Times Square, was hired, but it cost an extra XX) dollars. The decorations were exceptionally well done. There were fresh wild flowers as centerpieces with candles at each table. Girl’s and Boy’s State, June 21-27, I9SI Keuka College, Keuka Park, NY Three hundred and twenty-six girls converged upon Keuka on the 21st of June. Upon registration, we were divided into the Nationalists and Federalists Parties. Around the campus could be heard cries of Go Nats, go or Yeah. Feds all week long. Mary and Charlene both happened to be members of the Nationalist Party and as it turned out. there party’s nominee for Governor won. Way to go NATS!! Many friends were made at Girl’s State and many memories will be cherished from this mythical 51st state. Morrisville Ag £ Tech., Morrisville, NY Jeff Ray ... a Slate Trooper!?! Steve Kane ... a Health Inspector? Who’s health did you inspect. Steve? Brian Bleiler . . . a Common Councilman. Why not the Governor? Pat Cleary. Assemblyman, not bad. Pat! Jim Hunter ... a Common Councilman. What common man did you council? Bob Olcott . . . Chairman of the Board?! Gary Lawrence . . . where were you?! left to right 1981 Girls State Representatives. The men who attended Boy’s State marched wherever they went. Before breakfast there were calisthenics and after breakfast there were plenty of long, boring meetings! 10—GIRLS BOYS STATE
