CLASS WILL Naomi Harrington leaves her giggling girlhood to any gangling “Gravel Gertie” who has gumption enough to get it. Shirley Hartford leaves her singing ability to Phyllis Hager. Skip” Hayes leaves his “Hot Rod” to anyone that wants transportation-----the hard way. Albert Hughson leaves his mechanical knowledge to Milton Smith. Bill Ingersoll leaves his presidency of the Big time Operators to Allen Sibley. Bob Jackson leaves for college and the feminine attractions. Harriet Jenkins leaves her footprints deep in the sands of time. Irene Jenkins leaves Reeves Jacobus any spare time she might have in the future. Carl Meyers leaves his typing ability to Ronald Forrest. Shirley Mickel leaves her sweaters to Elsie Herrman. Larry Miller leaves his ambition to “Loaf” Fudge. Fred Miller leaves pin ball machines to future generations. Ernie Randall leaves his hat to the statue of George Washington in the library. Don Riley leaves his comb to Mr. Crowell. Faye Rolls leaves his peace pipe to Jack Cline. Dave Smith leaves his radio knowledge to Keith Rounds. The correct pronunciation of John Snizek’s last name, we leave to the faculty. Mart Swartout leaves her all-round ability in athletics to Rosy Emms. Florence Twedt leaves her sweet Brooklyn accent to Carl Pounds. Ruth Wiggins leaves her juvenile ways to Leslie Blakeman. Roy Williams leaves a beaten path up to Foot’s Hill to anyone who can make the grade. Chuck Woodworth leaves his cooking ability to the girls of O.C.S. John Lally’s timid and quiet ways we bequeath to Cecil Bowmen in hope he will soon make use of them. To the janitors we leave a mess. To Doctor Ward we leave all our aches and pains and over-size tonsils. To all the students of O.C.S. we leave everything that is nailed down or locked up so they may further their education. George Allen bequeaths his pitching arm to George Tanner. Wilson Archer leaves a little of his excess weight to Rodney Cornish. To John Kotmel we leave Bob Barrett’s fighting ability. June Bentley leaves her friendly ways to Lois Learn. Boothe Blakeman leave his snazzy dressing to Lisle Anderson. To Art Randall we leave Lavern Bradley’s quiet manner. Keith Chapman leaves Peggy Williams because he can’t have her. To Gene Gardner we leave Ivan Burris’ ability to drive a car without looking. Bill Hanlon leaves his hankering for wine, women and song to Roger Van Buskirk. Phyllis Townsend leaves her “make-up” box to Jean Bailey knowing that it will not be neglected in the future. Pat Callahan leaves everything but Shocky Hayes to anyone who will have it. Juanita Macmillan’s purse for the Senior Class money we hand over to the Junior Class with the wish that it will always be overflowing. Bert Cate leaves no regrets. Loretta Cole leaves her winning smile to Sally Brewer. Harriet Coon leaves her numerous talents to Ruth Forrest. Ted Covert leaves after four years. Lillian Crout leaves her basketball ability to Virginia Brown. Jim Doolittle’s outstanding football ability we leave to Leo Fraboni. Bill Durpfy leaves his fishing luck to Francis Wheeler. Betty Eaton leaves her dancing ability to Jean Van Fleet. Helen Garrett’s ability to hold Bill Goold’s favor we leave to Ruth Carrigan that she may maintain “Doc.” Bill Goold will never leave Helen Garrett. Roger Goold has nothing, he owes much, the rest he leaves to the poor. Bob Hall leaves his basketball ability to George Pattington. CLASS WILL To the class of 1949 we bequeath our willing ambitions, our remarkable wit, our excellent deportment, our knowledge of accomplishment, our excellent athletic ability and our dignity which it should always keep in mind and use to the best of its ability. To Mr. Pattington, our new principal, we leave our Best Wishes for success in the future. To Mr. Dolan, our advisor, we leave our sincere thanks and appreciation for all his efforts in making our class the best class ever. To our worthy and honorable teachers who have spent many patient and worrisome hours of toil and labor for this great day, our graduation, and for which we have been looking forward for some time, we leave our ability of accomplishing our many tasks and our cheerful dispositions. As our goal through life, we hope that we may linger always in their memories. And now to our parents who have so graciously helped us, stirred us on and encouraged us through our years of hard toil and labor, we leave our deepest love and sincerity for them. We also bequeath all our old school papers and books to them, and may these help to remind them of the happy days we spent at O.C.S.
