GlRLS'S SPORTS This year the girlls activities have been very successful under the able leadership of Miss Konrad. The Oregon Point System has again given letters ln basketball, baseball, volleyball, tennis, hiking, swimming, horseback riding, and bicycling. lnterclass games were played in basket- ball, volleyball and baseball. The Senior team won from the Junior team in basketball, while the Juniors beat the Seniors in vol- leyball. The Sophomores came Tin second in both games. Baseball games have not been played in time to enter the scores here, but lt ls believed the 4Juniors and Sophomores will prove victorious the best teams. ln tennis ten points were given to any girl who played eight sets of games. The Senlor girls of '39 sincerely hope next years activities will be as successful and as fully enjoyed as this year's have been. BASEBALL The school board bought the piece of gro- und between the high school and the A. G. A. plant. Continuous work on the part of Coach Mr. McMurray and a group of faithful players has put the ground in fine shape and we may now boast of a good diamond, belonging to us. Odell still has games scheduled with Parkdale, Stevenson and Hood River. Players who will earn letters include: Gordon Petri, Glen Beers, Junior Ogden, Joe Allen, Leon Farris, Gordon Arnold, Donald Trlvely, Taylor Tomita, Carl Selle and poss- lbly a few others. -1
