Back Row Gary Hogue LaDon Hoefling Duane Vent Harold Miller Bull Halboth Joe Wingert Vern Olberding Paul Miller George Roeder Jim Wareham Loren Thnes Middle Row Charles Mandernach Paul Bengford Robert Scanlan Marlin Gunderson Roger Kies Keith McDonough Gordon Haefner Kenneth Johnson Darrell Brown Bill Wolfe Front Row Richard Harris instructor Jim Meyer Don Hoefling Dale Linmon Ronald Salmonson Don Gunderson Gary Koehler llllll llHM Several different phases of agriculture were studied in the classroom during the year Films and field trips were used occasionally to make the work more interesting ln September a iudging team made up of Jim Meyer Don Gunderson Gerald Hul deen and Jim Wareham competed in a con test at the Clay County Fair at Spencer In March a team composed of Gary Koehler Billy Wolfe Gary Hogue and LaDon Hoeflnng competed in a judging contest at Sioux City along with 80 other teams from four states Billy Wolfe received honors for the highest individual in sheep judging On March l5 the F F A Chapter took part in the Northwest Iowa District FFA contests The Parliamentary Procedure team composed of Jim Meyer Don Gunderson, Jim Wareham Ronald Salmonson and Keith Mc Donough received a silver award LaDon Hoefling took a bronze award in Creed speak ing the Secretarys book received a bronze award and the Treasurer s book received an honorable mention ll EUl lMlHlEl The Chapter elected Don Gunderson and Jim Wareham to serve as official delegates to the State F F A convention held in Cedar Rapids April l7 I9 Ronald Salmonson also attended the convention and played in the State Band During the convention, Don Gunderson served as chairman of the State Farm Safety committee ter sold refreshments at some of the home basketball games tested several samples of seed for farmers sold certified seed potatoes sold Christmas cards sold license plate signs and purchased a Duroc Gilt Officers for the l95l 52 year were Dale Linman president Don Hoefling vice pres: dent Don Gunderson secretary Jim Meyer reporter Ronald Salmonson treasurer and Gary Koehler sentinel There are 33 boys in the chapter 3 seniors 9 juniors 5 sopho mores and l6 freshmen PACT SIXTY ONT l , . . . . 1 I l T . - I - 1 , ' .
