March, i952 The position of the School Board members is very difficult. It is their responsibility to prescribe and carry out all functions of the Odebolt Public Schools. Granted, people quite often do not agree with some of the decisions of the board, but in every case these five men certainly are striving for a sounder, smoother operating school system. Real accom- plishment can only be achieved through a Board of Education composed of competent citizens, such as we have on our present board. page six

Mr. Ogden took the position of superintendent at Odebolt when we were entering the seventh grade. He has coped with our faults, lamented with us in our sorrows, and rejoiced in our happiness and good fortunes. We feel he rightfully deserves this honor because he has given us guidance, direction, and sympo- thy throughout our Junior and Senior high school years.
