Former Miss Legends Misty Ed- wards and Marsha Burnette were on hand to crown the new Miss Legend on January 16, 1988. After the five finalists were chosen and each girl was interviewed, it was announced that Angie Lanier was Miss Legend. All the girls crowded around to give Angie their hugs and congratulations. Angie had performed a jazz dance to Can You Feel the Beat? with a smile, and had handled the interview wonderfully. Angie is the daughter of Joyce Lambert. l'N-- ,.f A tu X g fm, W . Q ietl tt. Sarah Randall fFrench Clubj 5' Laurel Taylor fNewspaper Slam Miss Legend was a wonderful suc- cess. Each girl in the pageant com- peted in an evening gown competi- tion and talent. Five finalists were chosen from the group of twenty-one, and each was asked to answer a ques- tion. Mike Burer was the host for the evening, and Marsha Bumette and Misty Edwards retumed as former Miss Legends. While the judges made their decision, Mike Burer played the guitar and sang, Misty Edwards did a toe dance, Marsha Bumette sang, and Joseph and Carol Knapp also sang to keep the audience entertained. It was a wonderful evening, beautifully put together by the Senior Beta Club. They deserve congratulations!
