SENIORS We, the seniors of 'LQ began our high school as innocent freshmen gawking through the halls of Ocina High with a horrid fear of the 'Office' in our hearts We soon found that familiarity was the best cure Now I would like to introduce those once gawking freshmen who have developed into the most dignified c1ass1nschooL First we would like to present the president of our class, George Tatyrek George is an outstandlng student k1bOu11HS studies and his L H Club work I feel sure George would like to make known publicly the place he holds in Mr Roesler's heart hear George tell it he has never studled a bit, but he has never made below an A Then there 18 that one and only Gerald Floyd better known as Hoot Now he's our boy---since no other class will claim him Hoot is very active in sports He plays basketball and can really throw the curves on the baseball fleld We believe he has taken ball playlng too seriously, because when the game is over he just stops throwing the curves and starts chaslng them He also showed the posslbillty of becom1ng a great actor when the seniors presmted their play Some day when Hoot becomes famous we will be proudtm say, 'I knew Mr Floyd when - Drusilla West is that sweet and shy member of our class W say, 'Shy' but we often wonder' She is always telling about going to church at Erick, but we wonder if its church at all Drusilla what shorthand would be without 'Miss West' for it seems everyone depends on her Barbara Cornelius is the only 'Mrs ' in our class She dimnt like paddling her own canoe so she got someone to paddle 1tRH'h6B when the senior's will is written we would like to take it upon ourselves to will to Wanda Smoot from Barbara the exclusive right to use the loudest voice in school and to express her opinionemy time and anywhere Jimmie Hatter turns all her attention toward Carter Hoot didn't quite understand her attitude during the senior play, but maybe he doesn't reallze that she might really be serious Jimmie has talent for becoming a great singer, if she doesn't listen to outside influence' Juanita Smoot is the member that really adds dignity to our class She is the quite type and doesn't boast of her progressin various lines, but from what we hear she seems to be giving certain people plenty of competltion Stay in there Juanita and even if you don't get him you fought a good battle' Julian Johnson is better known as lover boy He claims he cares nothing for the girls, but we know that deep down in his heart he loves every one of us Who else would have given sonmch chocolate candy for Christmas? Last but not least we have Delores Harris, who is not only an outstanding student in athletics, but also in her class work We see great possibilities of Delores becoming a detective though she lost her billfold in the chase she got 'im.andhe dRm't get away 12 i D 0 . . To 90 lf. 0 . 0 on . e takes her studies very seriously. It makes us shudder to think . All
