GLEE CLUB One of the most active organizations 1n our hlgh school is the Glee Club under the direction of Mrs Clark Penn The glee club has learned a large number of pop ular classic and semi classic songs in three parts The triple trio 1S also a very active part of the mus1c department It 15 composed of first soprano Imogene Mayfield Helen Joy Adair and Estelle Johnson second soprano Glenna Dean Smith, Dorothy Alene Bell and .T1mm1e Grace Hatter alto Bonnie Johnson Carrie Lou Baca and Delores Harris This very charming group of girls received many ovations for the excellent poise audiences The triple trio has appeared before the County Teachers meeting the Rotary Club, the Sorosis Club the Tr1 County Teachers Meeting, the County Farm Women s Club the B P W and ln various assembly programs The soloists who have appeared thus far are Imogene Mayfield, Helen Joy Ada1r, Carrie Lou Baca, Jimmie Grace Hatter Bonnie Johnson, and Delores Harris The Christmas program was a great success and was enjoyed by all The song on which we worked so long and hard and wh1ch apparently was enjoyed the most by the audience was Hallelujah Chorus from the great Messiah by Handel sung by the glee club The Spring Concert which was held in April was based on Folk Songs of America and stage presence.
