O-CLUB ACTIVITIES This year the state tournament funds were acquired in different ways. One of these was the three one-act plays given February 24, Their respective titles were 'Listen Dad','Jerry Breaks a Date',and 'Life with Willlen. They were all comedy plays, and drew a very good crowd. The cast not only had a lot of fun, but learned a little about dramatics. That is only one side of the storyg coach, our director, might have a word to say here! The purpose of all our fund raising was for the state game. The girls got to take in the Thursday night games and the Friday night games while the boys saw Friday and Saturday night games. The Brown Hotel in Des Moines was where the girls stayed while attending the games. The games are held at Des Moines in the Drake Field House. The girls did various things to keep themselves busy, some were swimming, shopping, going to show, and just plain loaflng around in the hotel. The most important of all were the attending of the games. This year we saw some real spectacular playing and sportsmanship. Roosevelt Hotel at Cedar Rapids is where the boys stayed. The boys had to drive back and forth from Cedar Rapids to the games at Iowa City. Some of the things the boys did were shopping, swimming, loafing and foreign car gazing. All in all it was a lot of fun, not one of us would have missed it for anything in the world. l K . 4 Il H Bmw. 'T I fi i' iff' -
