Faced with the backbreaking job of supervision and guidance over local education, this group of dedicated men has again turned in an outstanding performance. Through their forming of school policy, the Board has been responsible for every major advance that OHS has made during its years of existence. One look at the high caliber men who hold these posts will give a hint as to why Oceanside today has such a fine educational system. Under the able guidance of President Thomas O. Our Superintendent MR. MCDONALD F. EGDORF We have always been fortunate in Oceanside to have men outstanding in the field of education serve as our superintendents. Since taking the position last year, our present superintendent Mr. McDonald F. Egdorf is con- tinuing this fine tradition. Mr. Egdorf is a nationally known school administrator and an extremely capable and person- able leader. Serving as superintendent of schools in both Michigan and New York State, Mr. Egdorf has been respon- sible for the many strides his schools have made in modern education and advanced curriculum. In his capacity as superintendent in Oceanside and elsewhere, Mr. Egdorf has been a leader dedicated to the welfare of the community and the ideals of higher education. Preceding Mr. Egdorf as superintendent was Dr. Walter S. Boardman. For over twenty years Dr. Boardman devoted his time and his vast knowledge to the furtherance of higher education. Our high academic and athletic standing is a wonderful testimonial to his accomplishments. Our first superintendent was Mr. S. Taylor Johnson, an able administrator who served our community from 1926-194-O. Under the guidance of such fine men, Ocean- side has always been and will remain an outstanding school system.
