This year has given me an experience which has been both beneficial and unforgettable. As A. S. B. President, I have enjoyed working with a most co-operative council. Together we have tried to make Oceanside High School one of the outstanding high schools of Southern California. lt is my sincere opinion we have accomplished this - with your spirited co-operation. Although this is the second year we have taken the name Oceanside High School, it is actually the first year we have broken physical ties with our neighbor, Carlsbad. What we diminished in size we gained in spirit. The Student Body is to be congratulated for its outstanding support. We have proven that we are not merely front runners. When the teams have hit a slump the student body has consistently rallied behind them. lt is that kind of school spirit that will continue to maintain the winning ways for which Oceanside is known throughout the Avocado League. GER S'L A UE Another year gone, but we have acquired many happy memories! We started the year off with our annual welcome party. Soon after, but much too soon, came the Backwards Dance and Christmas Formal. lt has been a great experience to be Girls' League President and to have such a wonderful council with which to work! l'm sure in the years to come we'll look at this annual and recall all the fun we've had.
