University of Virginia When school opened in September. 1952. there was a large number of the former stu- dents missing. The new Virginia Beach High School had opened. The students and the faculty of Oceana felt this keenly and the memory lingeredg but in the true Oceana spirit the gaps were bridged, and it was not long before all school activities were running as usual.
