EXECUTIUE BOf)RD Executive Board 1985-86 The 1985-86 Executive Board has yone a long way since leadership camp in Santa Barbara this past summer. This year ' s executive board consists nt A.S.B. President Trisha Takidn, who plays th largest role on the board. She ran the meetings and oversaw all activities going on at Ocean View. The A.S.B. Vice IVesident. Brett -Johnson, was in charge of elections, and ran the meeting when the Presi- dent wasn ' t present. The Senior Class President. Nidoe ? esca. was in charge of Homecominfr. Powder I ' uft. graduation, and senior class meetmgs. Junior Class Presi- dent was Akemi Rover; Akemi oversaw the preparations for prom and all Junior fundraisers. Both the SophonKjre Class President. Tommy Dawes, and Freshman Presi dent, Walter Woodworth, ran class meetings and organiz ed fundraisers for their class. The Board also consists of commissioners. Kerry Yoshida, our Commissioner of Organizations, had club days and oversaw the various fundraisers (m campus. The Commissioner of Communications, is Susie Gordon; Susie is our own daily announcer over the P. A. system and is also in charge of keeping up the marquee. The Commissioner of Education this year was Michele Board. Michele attended bi monthly school hoard meetings and reported many proceedings that needed to be attended to. The Commissiimer of Activities this year was Dawn Mar- tinez, who was a major asset to all activities here at OV. Mara Witodwnrth was this year ' s Commissioner of School and Community Relations Mara organized the teacher ' s secret pals, and movements to improve the school. This year we split the Commissioner of Athletics into two parts — boys and girls. Ourcommissioner of pep during the Fall season was Gary Mathany who really got the students and players fired up. This year ' s boys ' Athletic Commissioner was Shelley Straight. Shelley helped with the organization of pep rallies and gave recognition to the athletes. Kelly Lester was cur Commissioner of (iirls ' Athletics this year. She helped organize the pep raUies as well as giving recognition to our female athletes. In addition we have our A.S.B. Secretary, Teresa Sen- drey, and our Treasurer Karina Santos. Teresa was in charge of taking and posting the minutes, while Karina w-as in charge of all our finances. Val Miller was our Student Senate Representative. The Chairperson ' s activities were t(t organize a variety show and to get the whole student body active in government. The head of A.S.B. is our ver ' own Mr. John Webb. He oversees ail the Ocean View happenings and has done great in this, his fourth year on the job. J fcC Executive Board 53
