UARSITY WRESTLING This year ' s wrestling team has a lot to be proud of. Consisting mainly of sophomores and juniors, they have placed in the top ten at several tournaments. In these tournaments a few individuals on the team have placed in the top three for their class; Phil Meyer, 191 lbs., placed first at the Estancia and second at the El Toro Tournament, and Kurt Szuba, 151 lbs., placed second at San Clemente. Several other wrestlers placed in the top six. The team has had a busy season this year and. according to Coach Nicolopulos, each wrestler has contributed his share of hard work and shown great improvement. They have come up against some tough competition in league and have always wrestled well. Coach Nick is proud of this year ' s team and feels that once the year is over they can look back on it know- ing they gave their best. f ' j 1. Russ Trounce in total control 2. KoUar, 7 Marc Roosen, 9 Gene Chabra, 10 Kieth Matlock, 11 Sean Van Hemlryck, 13 Troy Reynolds, 14 Curt Bjelajac, 15 Tim TembreuU, 16 Meech Tahsequah, 17 Ben Corbett, 18 Tom Wind, 20 Matt Sauter, 22 Sco tt Oliver The Ocean View Varsity Soccer Team under direc- tion of Paul L. Kollar finished another outstanding, positive season. Led by co-captains, most valuable players, and first-team all Sunset League selections Meech Tahsequah and Curt Bjelajac, the team finish- ed second in the always tough Sunset League and into C.LF. competition for the forth straight year. Also receiving first-team all-league honors and leading scorer with 12 goals was senior Sean Van Hemerlyck. Second team all league selections were seniors Jeff Darling (coach ' s award) and Keith Matlock (Army College Fund MVP). Other seniors providing valuable support to the team were; most-improved player Gary Mathany, two-year varsity letterman Tim Tembreull, and Mazen Arafat.
