The season started otT on a fine note winnuiK the Ocean View Sophomore Tournament. Dan Naulty and Marrelo Danze were named to the all-tourney team and Craij; Kice was named M.V.P. of the tournament. This was the first time an O.V. sophomore team was entered in the O.V. J.V. tourna ment. hut this team did not hack away fnim the challenge. With an outstanding performance, ihey placed 6th in a 16 team tournament, with Mike Frohn l eing named to all-tourney team. During Chri . the the Edis going into league play, hopes were high. This confidence helped carry the team to a 6-4 league record. The improvement of this team was tremendous and was shown hv an overall record of 17-8. But wins and losses aside, this team developed confidence in themselves and I also Iwlieve they discovered some rif the positive aspects of sports even if they did not achieve the result they desired. Finally. I wish to commend these young athletes on a very fine and productive seasfm.
