UARSITY BASKETBALL I play The 1985 86 Seahawk Bwikethall Review The 1985 86 Basketball Season for Ocean View High solidifies the motto The Sunset ' s Best at Ocean View. With one of the most gruehng schedules anywhere, the five Seahawk Teams compiled an outstanding 91-27 record. Winning 3 of 4 Sunset League Cham- pionships assures Ocean View of the potential to continue its well earned Championship Tradition on the hardcourt. More importantly, the Seahawks have contmually been praised for the class they have shown throughout the year. The Varsity certainly left a great im- pression on the Arkansans. as they did with us. Our staff and players have worked hard and concentrated i ing the game and therefore have ed tremendously. We have seen new challenges to their character, mental toughness, physical endurance and emo- tional stability. Extremely proud we are and should be of these young men. An interesting highlight to this season is the incredible home record for 1985 86. The parental and fan support ignited Ocean View in accomplishing a glossy 44-5 record at our own court. The Varsity (6-0), J.V. (10-0). Sunset Frosh (8-0) and Freshman Gold (10-0) were undefeated at home and the Sophomores (10-5) lost only 3 of 13 games. Since most of our home contests were not until the latter part of the season, the dramatic improvement of our teams this year is underscored. The dedication by the Coaches and their players have been exempliary.
