WHEREAS, the Ocean Springs High School football team, known to all as the Greyhounds, has been acknowledged as the 19 7 Gulf Coast Conference Champions, achieving this honor with a record of 9 wins, 1 loss, and 1 tie; and WHEREAS, they have attained this honor for the fifth straight year, being the Gulf Coast Conference Champions since 1963 with the exception of 1966 when they were the cochampion; and WHEREAS, their total record over these past five championship years shows an over-all U9 wins, 3 losses, and 3 ties; and WHEREAS, this is an impressive, admissible record, befitting such a spirit of championship play as expressed by this record of athletic achievement and it can only be the result of the desire of the players and guidance of the coaching and adminis- trative staff; and WHEREAS, such an outstanding series of achievements reflects great credit upon the individual players; the coaching staff of Hugh M.
