IN MEMORIAM Words can never express the feelings that we, the Senior Class of 1966, have for our beloved classmate, Stephen Parker. We feel that Mr. and Mrs. Parker expressed this idea best in the following letter addressed to the Senior Class: Thank you for including Stephen in your thoughts and hearts this year. You have made it possible for him to keep a promise to us. On your Junior High graduation day he caught me crying, and he knew why the tears were falling. He promised to walk down that aisle on graduation day, 1966. We knew that nothing but a miracle could make his promise come true. The miracle is in your love for him and in your making him a part of the things you do. When you think of Stephen, remember the simple and cheerful greeting he had for everyone. The deep faith that he had enabled him to remain so even until the -end. He had a motto that he lived and died by. It was only three words, but they sustained him in his darkest hour. We would like to share them with you: 'God knows best.' 16
