The boys looked like a dress rehearsal for the hill-billy part of the Senior play. Ho one will ever for- get FRED’S attention to realist!o detail in his costume After terrorizing the sohool with chalk races and vaude- ville aots in study hall, the Seniors started to go for a ride in DURANT'S jalopy, but they couldn't find tie engine, so a conpromise was reached by using FRED'S boat. OSWALD almost found a buried treasure, and LOUISE screamed, screamed, screened when the waves splashed. Following a big lunch of hamburgers and cokes, the next stop was at Van Cleaves' oorner—object to hitoh hike to Biloxi The ride, in old truck, finally ended at the show. CARNVIAL! was the thrae of the JUNIOR-SENIOR BANQUET Friday night, hold in the main dining-room of swanky Gulf Hills hotel. Multi-colored streamers oxide a colorful background for the gay 1IARDI- GRAS figures, which decorated the walls. Tables were arranged in a U-shape, with confetti and ribbons of serpentine making fantastic patterns on the white cloths and a beautiful flat arrangement of nar- cissus centered tne speakers table. Two floats, one of red and white with gold sequins bore KING SENIOR, pulled by FRESHIE FRESHMAN and the other, blue and gold, bore UEEN JUNIOR, drawn by SOPHISTICATED SOPHO- MORE, held places of honor on the side tables. Festive twiriers and vari-colored masks marked each place and added much to the holiday spirit. The NATIONAL ANTHEM was sung, followed by an address of WELCOME by CHARLES (better known as DUKE) DAVIS, president of the Junior Class and Master of Cermonies. DURANT WILLIAMS, president of the Senior Class, responded and intorduced the members of the Senior Class who were present; LOUISE LYND, KATHRYN KING, ERNESTINE ZETTZL, FRED LEMON, and OSWALD 3EAUGEZ• Brief speeches were made by Supt. S. S. WALL, L. J. B. MESTIER, president of the school-board, MAYOR ALBERT S. 'TEST- BROOK and MRS. FRANCESCA SPENCER, sponsor of the Senior Class. GLO GAY read u message from MRS. LUCILLE DENNISON, sponsor of the Junior Class, who was unable to attend on acoount of illness and VIRGINIA LEE gave a toast to the boys who would have been members of the Junior and Senior Classes of this year but are in the service of their country. THE PROM—m—m—m—Remember ? ? SENIOR COLORS, red and white decorated the Community House. MUSIC, sweet and low, fast and hot, by carpenter's Biloxi Hi orchestra. GIRLS in filmy evening-frocks, flaunting corages; BOYS, slicked up and shining and My! the number of home town boy3 back from overseas, an' Yes sir, they HAD it i i FUN and mor e FUN I III J .72'LL NEVIS F0RG2T The fun the Seniors had on FRED LEMON'S boat Senior Day. OSV.'ALD BEAUGEZ'S socks catching afire while he was drying them on the footlights. KATHRYN KING running under the table in the Senior play slick as a rat hole. DURANT V7ILLIAMS' perpetual little cap he wore all winter and his short hair cut as soon as spring came. MARCUS SHANTEAU Just getting home from State in time for graduation. LOUIS LYKD anxiously waiting for letters from Billy Mac. EARLIKE SPURS eating her fishwora and wild lettuce sandwich. E NESTIME ZETTFX teaching the primary grades. JOYCE LOVETT snatching naps during classes. RUSTY NOLL and his boots. :rs. SPENCsurprizing everyone this year by not getting very sunburned on the Junior-Senior boat ride. JACKIE RICHARDS saying I'm so hongry I could eat Hoot-OV 1 hash. RICHARD MOHLER suddenly making all the girls' hearts beat faster. ELEANOR '.7ASL32R dashing off a verse for every occasion. BRUNER MARTIN continously saying carry on Rater and learning to pronounce new words in the Senior play. The BIOLOGY CLASS collecting everything from bats to bees. And how well the SOPHMORE GIRLS and BO ” agreed. GLO GAY'S letters from Marcus Shanteau. KATHERINE FARRIS the day she heard John Clifton was coming home. CHUBBY BEAUG2Z blushing in English III class whenever horsoback riding was mentioned. ROBERT HJDT'S manufactured evidence in the debate.
