JONES'? welcomed guesits and led them to the rivate dining room, vhich was decorated in a patriot! motif. A ■'arge American flag held the place of honor over ♦•he spsakers9 table ana a huge snow-man wearing an Uncle Sain hat i ii the entrance, adding a touch of gaiety to the scene Crystal bowls oi red camellias and white nraroissus were placed at intervals down the long bancve’t tables and small flags, red, white and blue hats and favors marked each place. (THE J..CK0ON COUNTY TIMtiS—Feb. 5, 1944) 9 SENIOR DAY January 14, 1944—Yes, that was THE day for the Seniors, Back to their tender childhood and kid games and pranks they wandered. Despite the rain and cold weather the ten of them roamed to school dressed as kiddies. The five girls wer darling in short dresses and little checked aprons. Big ws of ribbons sat atop -heir flouncing curls, and each rried a huge toy. The boys name as ladies”. Each was attired in a complete ontfii of high heels, dress, hat, purse, and of course, the ma c-up y;gs unlimited. From 9 tVl 1C,:Z0 in the morning the school was cirs, and they really took over. Following the pleasant ur and a half of tormenting teachers and students the Q3s broeped out and into Dot RyanTs family home and was tertainod there. During the last two years, most of the effort of the Juniors has been direoted to Camp and Hospital service, and hunareds of articles have been furnished to the nearby camps—utility bags, tray favors, writing bpards.,..Christmas stockings, bed- room slippers, .etc. Supt.
