After a fun-filled evening, the highlight arrived with the crowning of the Queen, Maria Foglio.

We Wish To Recognize. . . . . . some people who have brought luster to Ocean City High School . . . the Cheerleading squad that won the lst annual Cheerleading Contest, and Anne Lutz, who won the individual Trophy as best Cheerleader of 1979 . . . Mrs. Pat Dougherty who brought the 8th straight girls C.A.L. crown to Ocean City . . . Lisa Foglio, who has amassed more than 1890 points in her high school basketball career . . . Eddie Paone who has scored 1330. Also three faculty members who added a special lustre to O.C.H.S. and have chosen to retire this year: Mr. Lewis Benzong Mrs. Beryl Gleasong Mr. Stan Totten.
