ROBERT WILLETS TOWNSEND Ocean City Bob Ambition: Engineering Activities: Football, Basketball, Baseball. Someone with good looks and a person- ality to match . . . fun to be with . . . finds getting up in the morning most ob- noxious . . . after he is awake, he spends spare seconds writing novels . . . if you're working on a project and need a- helper, Bob can usually be located at the Center . . . when thinking over his years in O.C.H.S., his Senior Year will always stand out. HOWARD FRANCIS TURNER Ocean City Howard Ambition: College or Service, Business Activities: Football, Business Club, Swim- ming, Track. . Undoubtedly, one of the wackiest in '62 . . . provides 'entertainment for friends and classmates . . . unoccupied time is spent participating in all kinds of sports . . . stuck-up people are his pet peeve . . . the Center and Pessano's provide homes away from home for this Senior . . . ranking high on his list of favorite memories are summer and The Nest. This peppy Senior spends her spare time being with a certain redhead, or sew- ing, water skiing, and dancing . . . May 5, 1961, and September 4, 1961, play a very important part in Joan's thoughts of the past . . . you can always find her at the Center, the Chatterbox, or the Diner . . . doing homework on week-ends and bossy people are low on the list of favor- ites. BRYAN ALAN SHERBY Ocean City Carpetbagger Ambition: State Trooper Activities: Track, Co-Captain, Football. Controversial transfer . . . of course he's joking when he tells us that attending Mainland is his fondest memory and that he's had a sad life . . . when not crack- ing witty remarks, he is either dancing, sleeping, or talking . . . often finds himself at 127 Bala Drive in Somers Point . . . Bryan absolutely despises girls who dis- like him. JAMES STANLEY SIMMS Ocean City Jim Ambition: College Activities: Varsity Swimming. Nice looking and a really well dressed class member . . . seems to spend his ex- tra time ranking . . . when he is not available try looking for him at the Center . . . can't stand shoebees or handles . . . when looking back over those arduous years at OCHS, .lim will never forget his won- derful times with the 1961 swimming team or those riotous trig classes. Good-looking and athletically inclined classmate . . . is always engaged in some manly pastime such as playing football . . . or is tending his duties as Y.C. Pres- ident . . . can be found at the Center any- time but Sunday . . . then take a look at Hank's . . . he can't forget 32nd St. . . . is disgusted with people who mess up the Center. Nov. 12, 1961, shared the soft spot in her memory with All-State Chorus . . . likes to play the piano and organ and enjoys reading a good book . . . people who think they are greater than they are irritate her. KERRY LEE STOLTZFUS Ocean City Kerry Ambition: College Likes things that start with the letter B . . . namely, basketball, bowling and boating . . . English IV really gave him a rough time in his Senior Year, but he enjoyed it . . . quite naturally most of his time is spent at OCHS . . . Kerry is a member of the Y.C. Basketball team . . . will always remember the good times back in the summer of '6l.

Janet has no time for people that always have a smart remark . . . she considers both T.L.A. and her Senior Year as the greatest . . . always seen in that baby car. SALLY JEAN VANSAN T Townsend's Inlet Sally Ambition: To be an efficient secretary, marriage Activities: Majorettes, Senior Executive Committee, Student Council, Business Club, Girls' Sports. Another of O.C.H.S.'s pretty Majorettes . . . doesn't know of anything worse than Senior year gym or people who write novels . . . extra minutes are spent writing to her boy in blue and dancing.. . when you can't locate her, try the Center or the Green Beetle . . . fondest memories are Junior Prom of '60, Queen oi Sea Isle Baby Parade, and making Majorettes. HELEN ELIZABETH WARD Ocean City Reds Ambition.: Business College Activities: Tennis. Red hair is this Senior's trademark . . . a member of long standing, Helen passes all spare time hy going out . . . as far as she's concerned, two faced people are the worst -things ever made . . . the Center is one place to look for this miss-if she isn't there try C's house . . . will never forget her Junior Year.
