WILLIAM JOHN JOSEPH GARRITY, IH Sea Isle City Bill Ambition: Barber Though this likeable fellow participated in no actual activities, he made himself known . . . when doing nothing else, he can always be caught sleeping . . . he can't stand Leeh but if you want him, go to Leeb's house first . , . then look for the Green Machine . . . people who always give advice bother him immensely . . .for some reason Wildwood Catholic is his fondest memory. ROBERT FRANKLIN GATES, JR. Ocean City Bob Ambition: Chemical Research Activities: Band, A Cappella. One of the few tenors in A Cappella . . . long time member of the brass sec- tion of the band . . . spends a great deal of his time with the Scouts . . .if you happen to be looking for him, the place to start is almost anywhere . . . people who make idiots of themselves really peeve him . . . of all the summers he's had, he looks back at the one of 1961 with the biggest smile. AMY MARGARETT GLASPEY Ocean City . Amos Ambition: Executive Secretary Activities: Senior Class Executive Commit- tee, Business Club, Yearbook. One of the less conspicuous members of our class . . . yet an important one who had duties to perform for various groups . . . loves to dance and drive Old Smokey . . . October 21, 1961, and the past summer offer .her the fondest memories . . . her evenings are mostly spent at either the Diner or the Center . . . fair weather friends really tend to irk her. MARGARET ELIZABETH GLEASON Ocean City Meg Ambition: College ' Activities: Cheerleading, National Honor Society Secretary, Senior Class Secretary, Gym Leader, Youth Center Board. Performed splendidly as Captain of Varsity Cheerleaders . . . one really busy and popular girl. . . she likes to linger at the Center . . . her Junior and Senior years were the greatest, but she'll never forget December 4, 1959 . . . claims she enjoys evaluating novels . . . doesn't care for two-faced people. 96 WILLIAM JOSEPH JOHN GLEESON Ocean City Bill Ambition: Big Businessman Activities:, J.V. and Varsity Football. Previously an outstanding back for J.V., then Varsity . . . he was also a Junior Rotarian . . . most of his time is spent engaging in one sport or 'another . . . he haunts the Atlantic City Y.M.C.A .... quite frequently . . . it ' is hard for him to take girls who are conceited and have no reason to be . . . his fondest memory will come on May 23, 1962. CARL ALBERT GOEDE Ocean, City Carl Ambition: Architectual Draftsman A recently acquired member of the class . . . spends time which is not otherwise occupied by working . . . nothing irks him more than people who heat around the bush . you will really have to search for Carl if you can't find him in O.C. because his home away from home is Long Island, N. J .... it is a had sign for OCHS that Carl's happiest memories are his first two years in high school.

ANDREW FULTON Ocean City Andy Ambition: Electrical Engineer Activities: Band, Student Council, Track. Certainly a prominent member of the class of '62 . . . this young man's favorite pastimes are going to the Center and bowl- ing . . . utterly detests girls who talk too much . . . when not at home, Andy is quite often found at Stone Harbor . . . Steam- boat always has a big smile for everyone . . . hopes someday to build his own Ful- ton's F oily. PATRICIA ELLEN GALLAGHER Ocean City Pat Ambition: Beautician Activities: Billows, Chorus. Neat as a pin and friendly at all times is Pat . . . a very helpful Billows worker and chorus member, she excels in both categories . . . spends .much of her time writing letters and reading . . . the date of September 27, 1961, is one she will never forget . . . can do without conceited people and history tests . . . Pat is a steady visitor to the Point Diner. SANDRA LEE GALLAGHER Ocean City Sandy Ambition: Nurse Activities: A Cappella, Choir, Chorus. A cheerful member of our class . . . Sandy is always ready with a smile . . . this miss spends any of her spare time reading . . . she strongly dislikes those people who are more rude than they need to be . . . of all her years in high school, Sandy will look hack most fondly on her Junior Year. HAROLD THOMAS CANNON Marmora Hal Ambition: Navy. Activities: Basketball, Boating. This tall member of the Senior Class uses any of his spare time sitting around, and watching television . . . Hal's fond- est memory is the summer of 1961 . . . his only regret during high school was that he had too much homework . . . this Senior may be located at his home away from home, Madarae's -house. HAROLD WARREN CAN S Ocean City Renny Ambition: Automotive and Transportation Designer Activities: Band, Track, Y.C. Basketball. An avid fan of fast moving vehicles, he is a distinguished wit. . . a handy man with the drumsticks for Mr. Miller . . . during track season he can he found end- lessly loping around the track rehearsing for the mile . . . found other times at Skeet's house . . . his biggest thrills and memories come from winning a race . . . spends most of his leisure in passing away the time . . . played for Y.C. Basket- ball Team . . . little guys that drink peeve him. CHRISTINE MARIE VERONICA GARDNER Sea Isle City Chris Ambition: Actress Activities: Leaders' Corps, Yearbook, Stu- dent Council, Drarnatics Club, After School Sports, Business Club. Her aspirations toward acting are accom- panied by unique talent . . . reading, drawing, and dancing take up her moments of rest . . . the summer of 1960, June, and the Big Four will always be with her . . .in the summer look for her at the Arcade . . .in the winter at the Center . . . ca.n't stand snobs or conceited people . . . our class nut! 95

ROBERT DENNIS GRAHAM Ocean City Bob Ambition: Navy One of the more humorous members of our class. . .Bob excels in advanced study halls . . . he spends any of his spare time riding his motorcycle, playing tennis, or sleeping . . .try looking for him at Mr. and Mrs. Groogan's . . . Bob has a strong dislike for girls who drive . . . he fondly recalls the summer of 1959. MICHAEL GEORGE HAMILTON Somers Point Mike Ambition: To continue schooling and be successful Activities: Swimming, Baseball One of the brave ones who liked OCHS enough to stay . . . spends all his extra hours participating in some type of athle- tics . . . cliques and gossipers are tops on his list of pet peeves . . . you can find him in his 1954- limousine whenever you need him . . . seventh period science in 1961 will never be forgotten. Ocean City Missy Am bition: College Activities: Cheerleading, Senior Executive Committee, Student Council. Pretty, peppy miss . . . an asset to the cheering squad and OCHS . . . when there is a moment to spare, she spends it with Flea or playing chauffeur to a certain person . . . can't stand conceited boys or people who drink . . . when looking for her, try Chattie's or 320 4-4-th St., S.I.C. . . . she will always cherish the memories of December 17, 1960, making cheering, the Junior Prom, and the Halloween Parade. EDWARD WILLIAM HAMADA Ocean City Mr. Ed. Ambition: Make money easy A long time member of the class of '62 . . . likes to fill up unoccupied time cycle scrambling or playing billiards . . . slow drivers drive him crazy . . . if you're looking for Mr. Ed, he may be at Binky's, the Center, drive-in mov-ies, the Drums, or Ben's . . . when looking back over his years at OC, Ed will never forget the sum- mers of '59 or '60, - fig nfff : T Ocean City Carol Ambition: College, Teach Fine Arts Activities: National Honor Society, Senior Class Treasurer, Captain of Majorettes, Girls' Sports, Leaders' Corps, Chorus, A Cappella, Yearbook, All-State Chorus.
