Gzrls' Track A51 year was the first year the girls had Track as a Varsitv sport and they pulled throuffh with the greatest success They participated only in one meet this being the Cape May County Track Meet in which they won the Mount Holyoke Cup Mary Sullivan and Vera Scott took first place in the 100 yd dash and Basketball throw respectively Last but not least our Relay Team composed of Ruth Dalmedo Matilda Angeley Vera Davis and Mary Sullivan were the first who reached the finishing line Cornelia Corson Edith Henderson and for us Our promising candidate for Varsity Track this year is Adelaide Van Osten of the Junior High Last year she entered three events in the Junior County Track Meet and carried off the honors in each one also running anchor in the winning relay team Elva McPherson another of our Junior High students placed in the 100 yd dash for which she deserves credit Thus our girls concluded an eminently successful season and they deserve much praise for showing the true spirit of sportmanship S1 flu flu X. Beatrice Jernee were among the other girls who took either second or third place
