Whether in, out, or at Ingrid ' s, meals were definitely a dorm function for Newcomb residents. Head citrus (mango) was Buzzy Rendall. Resident citrii included Lorraine Harsch (pineapple), Pat O ' Bannon (grape), Karen Young- strom, Maryanne Ma (Mom), and Tom Morgan. J DEAN ' S HOUSE A home away from home pa ?;wMM; wM?jj; ?Wi ydk. Orr women will especially cherish memories of late night serenades sung to them early in the year by Chilcott men. ■■X XW ;■■•■■? ■w ■' ■«.«?WJeTWXWC ■.-.■■i-K;v- rKi;f ;■:-: ? . KFiv; ■c■r« ■w; sc: i The Norris lounge was graced by strange noises that signified a staff member near by, Eert (Robyn Creighton) Boom (Doug Wong). Norris ' motto: Goo foor eet! tlorris ' jS ' j-j ' g ' ;-- tUwr Com After asking if they were allowed there, men finally ventured into New Dorm Spring Term. Other accomplishments included cooking (Deborah finally learned how), cleaning (or lack of it - the dishes were always dirty), and general nerd-ity. 21 SUwwi ' CUmi Stewie was frequented this year by characters such as: Judd Conley - The Woman, Cousin Rob - a general A .H . , Steve Alex - The Dorm Damage Duo, Space Cadette, Mike and Psych, and the Staff. Pauley was a Battle of the Sexes. Not only did they have trouble telling their bathrooms apart, but their underwear as well . VsH V m MToi ai m The Pit was a fun place to live in ' 75- ' 76. Rumor was that Patty Hearst was living on the third floor. Other Bell Young celebrities were Buns and Crazy George Sanger his oldies band. M 23 ■r ' ■m nfJ: ' . i 4 In my judgment this past year has been a good one in all respects. To be sure, we ' ve had our differences in regard to certain tenure decisions, the selection of the Com- mencement speaker, and a few other matters, but candor and mutual respect have prevailed, just as it has always been very much a part of the Occidental scene. I trust that in long years to come you will continue to remember the College for what it is and strives to be, as we will remember the Class of 1976 for what it has been and will yet become. You have our confidence and very best wishes in whatever the future may bring and for the future which each of you will make for yourselves. Richard C. The major goal of this book was to show the activities of the 1975-1975 academic year. I hope, and feel, we succeeded to your satisfaction. We also wanted to have this book to you soon after the year began, but some things were beyond our control. This has been a good year, as we have tried to show. I hope you will appreciate what people have put into this book, and also understand that it would be virtually im- possible to not forget something. I would only hope that the strengths of this book outweigh the weaknesses. For me, I can truly say it has been an experience.
