MEMORIES We drd make tt' After four years of hard work, we ve frnally become sophrstrcated Sentors In the begrnntng even though we were shy and green we elected good offrcers Erma Newbold, our presrdent got us through the year s actrvrtres wrth the help of Lawrence Musgrave, vrce presrdent secretary Ted Dennrs Dee Aten treasurer and our Student Councrl representatrve Sue Tracy Mr Evrtt and Mr Adams served as sponsors to help us through our green year Fat Black Bucks back agarn as sophomores Mr Stokes drrlled us rn Engltsh II Mr Judy and Mr Chapman were chosen to sponsor our class John Krrk, class presrdent, trted rn varn to collect class dues Frnally wrth the help of our other offtcers Lonnre Kesler, vtce presrdent Carol Dennrs secretary Er ma Newbold treasurer and Student Councrl representatrve, Ianrce Wood we got the books balanced Remember how all the grrls swooned over a certarn handsome Brology teacher? Our Float dtdn t take a prrze at Homecomrng but at least rt was an rmprovement over last year s Jolly .Tumors back from another short three months vacatron and ready to tackle another year We thought we knew rt all but the Prom proved us very wrong Troubles leaky pool saggy crepe paper wrlted flowers, etc but our Orrental Paradise was a great success Servrng as class offlcers were Ted Dennrs presrdent vtce presrdent, Dee Aten Lonnre Kesler, treasurer Janrce Wood, secretary and Student Councrl representatrve, Erma Newbold and our class sponsors, Mrs Sentman and Mr Prather Our float was really pretty, even though our lumpy panther dtdn t make rt Durrng the year our class mourned the death of Donnre Wrrght Belreve rt or not, our Homecomrng float ftnally won a prrzel fThlrd place rs better than none J Our Homecommg Queen was Erma Newbold her Mard of Honor was Jean Ann Hrppler and her attendants were Karla Ruddell Sharon Smothers and Beverly Drspennett Frrst came the electron of offrcers Sam Robrnson was elected to lead our class through our brg year wlth the help of Lonnre Kesler and Beverly Drspennett Wrthout Sam and our Student Counctl representa trve Janrce Wood Student Councrl surely would have been dull The brg problem of the year was how to make money for our Senror mp We had many money makmg actrvrtres as the Jarlhouse at the Carnrval, bake sales, and a car wash Ftnally rn the end, e had enough money to spend a rarny day rn Chlcago Even though we had to spend most of our trme on the bus, we strll had fun Our sponsors, Mrs Hosrer and Mr Tucker, stuck wrth us all the way How ever, they were late a few trmes gettrng to the bus Graduatton trme at last! You mrght know we were late for our own Baccalaureate service The Commencement seemed to last forever, but we got our drplomas somehow Now we ve come to the end of our Joumey our school years never agatn to enJoy the thrtll of gettrng bawled out by a teacher or berng sent to the offrce for a stunt someone else pulled Wrll we realrze one day that what the older generatrons tell us rs true that the best years of our lrves are when we re rn school?
