The girls there have many interests. For example, when playing games, Dory and Sally always insist on Ring around a-rosy or Who has the ring ? Ginger, Peggy and Zeta can be found assembling a menagerie. Mary Cameron, Alice and Helen roller skate at every opportunity. Over in the doll house Cathy, Flossie and Mary Amelia keep house to their heart's content. Dot Evans' coffee pot is much in demand, because all the girls come running for samples from it. It is quite hard to emphasize one unit of transportation because Harriet and Dot want a railroad train and sta- tion, while Aldythe prefers autos, as they all might, if enough material were available. Mary Patterson and Rosey are more interested in air' planes than the others. Of course this may be due to the roof being a good place for an observation lesson. Zeta spends her time at the easel, sketching Indian Life. Polly likes her history, especially of Columbus. Sally takes great pleasure in history also. She has decided that Feb. 22, will always be a big day in history, for at least two reasons. We can't be sure, but Washington's birthday may prove to be important to Ginger, too, due to road conditions. It has often been hard to keep track of Rosey, Flossie and Cathy, not that they were delinquents, but they have been found adventuring to Elyria afoot any where from seven A. M. to seven P. M., even in cold, cold January. The children are fond of having little parties for each other, the main object is, no doubt, the preparing and eating of food. The girls take great interest in the Post Office and the Postman, and have had some exper' ience in writing letters and receiving them, with particular interest in Spef cial Delivery mail. Miss Safford is delighted with the appreciation of music the children are developing. They continually request well known compositions such as, L'What is This Thing Called Love, Chant of the Jungle. Where Shy Little Violets Grow, and Was It a Dreamn? This being a typical Kindergarten, Miss Safford often has trouble with the rest hour. On the whole, the children are very cofoperative. We aren't sure in every case, but the lunch hour appears to continue through at least fourteen hours a day. The older children are graduating to First Grade and while the others hate to see them leave Burroughs, the younger girls will be glad to have their turn as leaders next year.
