La Mwwuazu 3 It I Once again this year. our coveted January abeyance saw many Obies bronzing on California beaches. feeling out New York dance studios. and touring the Old World. Others chose to remain in Obieland: pursuing a variety of projects - or just loafing. De- spite the large number of students who experimented with the delights of off-board cuisine. Dascomb was still mobbed at dinner. Those working on the produc- tion of Candide'i were lucky if they got to eat at all tdepending on your point of viewi. Large numbers of workaholies probed the eataclysms of the future in Humankind Tomorrow . and everybodyis favorite subject. the weather. forced the closing of the school for three days: the first time in thirty years. The only college facilities which remained functioning despite the -100 wind chill and the swirling snow were the heating plant. Dascomb and the Co-ops.
