Cberlin Perspective Weather Oberlin has two seasons, winter and summer- they come on alternate days. Spring rains, however, are with us at any time. During freshman year, when this is novel to most newcomers, a wide variety of all- too-often vain rain raiment is noticeable when a young adult, released from his mother for the first time, believes his ingenuity waterproof, Later, he be- comes hardened and ignores the light downpour, feel- ing that the dewy deluge would wet him anyway. His philosophy comes to lie between variety is the spice of life and when a nice day comes one really appre- ciates it-no need to turn on the lights in the stacks.
