Still she was no- where to be .seen. He smoked a cigarette oi ' er a cup of coffee and -was preparing to leave when Ernie came up and suggested a game of table tennis. He was half- way through the second game -when she -walked in leilli a friend. He played a game -with lier also and then suggested a beer at Don ' s. She hesilated for ii moment anil then said.
