Ginny de Vyver and Al Beatty visualize by the Hall Hole. WE KEEP OUR FINGERS CROSSED What is that Hole? you ask. No, it's not an archaeological attempt to resurrect Oberlin B.C. It's the beginning of Hall Memorial Auditorium. Located on North Main Street, facing Tappan Square, the ultra-modern building will be faced with a curved wall of marble or aluminum. Com- bining a 500 seat auditorium in the general shape of a violin case, a 36 by 80 toot stage, and a two- story workshop, the building promises to be the outstanding one of its kind in the country. The auditorium will be used for meetings, lectures, dramatic productions, and other educational pur- poses bythe college and the community, while the workshop will provide space for rehearsals, prepa- ration of scenery and sets, and storage of proper- ties. In addition to the latest developments in stage lighting, curtains, and backdrops, provisions have been made for television and motion picture pro- iection. The Whole Hall in perspective. 15
